Douglas County is located in the far Northwest corner of the state situated next to Lake Superior. The city of Superior is the county seat. Douglas County is home to the villages of Lake Nebagamon, Solon Springs, Brule, Oliver, Poplar and Superior. Townships in Douglas County include Amnicon, Bennett, Brule, Cloverland, Dairyland, Gordon, Hawthorne, Highland, Lakeside, Maple, Oakland, Parkland, Solon Springs, Summit, Superior, and Wascott.
